About Agata

 

 

 

Agata is a graduate of Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, where she obtained a Masters Degree in Biology. Following graduation, Agata worked as a science teacher in Krakow, but continued studying at the Jagiellonian entering the Postgraduate School for Translators and Interpreters. In 1996 she started working as a translator, translating travel guides for the Polish publishing house, Pascal.

She moved to the UK in 1997 for family reasons. While bringing up her family, she worked part-time as a translator and studied Psychology with the Open University, gaining BSc (Hons) in Psychology in 2006.

Since 2007 Agata, has worked as a fully qualified full-time translator and interpreter. She holds a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting and a Diploma in Translation and is a Registered Public Service Interpreter, which makes her fully qualified to interpret in courts, for the Police and all public services in the UK. She is a Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

Agata specialises in Law, Medicine and Science and divides her time equally between translation and interpreting.
