About Frédérique

Frédérique was born in Casablanca, Morocco to French parents and moved to France in her early years.
After completing her school studies in Pau, close to the Spanish border, she studied law at the prestigious Bordeaux University. After a break to care for her two small children, she went on to study International Commerce and then moved to Paris, where she worked for the Chamber of Commerce of Versailles. She subsequently became an interpreter and French tutor to English speakers in Paris, before moving to Pewsey, Wiltshire with her British husband. Keen to obtain a British qualification, she graduated with a B.A. (Hons.) 2:1 in Theology and Religion from Oxford Brookes University.
She has worked in the UK for the last ten years as a freelance translator and private tutor. Over the years she has translated countless documents, mostly in the legal, medical and educational sectors. Her legal background also gives her a particular insight into the complexities of French property documents enabling her to provide very professional assistance to clients buying or selling property in France. She also teaches teenagers taking French GCSEs, A levels or International Baccalaureate and adults.
She is known for her thorough research, being very organised and tenacious and for helping clients achieve their goals.
Frédérique is also proficient in French sign language, which she learnt when one of her children was born profoundly deaf.
