About Elena

Elena was born in Siberia, Russia and spent her childhood in Murmansk, later moving to Crimea.
From an early age, she developed a passion for foreign languages and after completing her A Levels, studied modern foreign languages at the National State University of Crimea, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, BA (Hons.) and Bachelor of Education.
In her native country Elena worked as a teacher and tutor teaching Russian and English both in schools and privately and also held a post as interpreter, translator and administrator for a large American energy company.
In 2000 Elena moved to England and started a family.  Since then, she has been working as a private tutor in Wiltshire teaching the International Baccalaureate course in Russian language, literature and linguistic analysis. She has also had great success in tutoring students for GCSE and A level examinations.
Elena also does interpreting work and translates a wide variety of documents both into and out of Russian. She also takes an active part in Russian language activities and projects for her local Council.
In her spare time she loves to spend time with her daughter, travelling and reading.
